without the need to be seen or acknowledged.

It is not sympathy.
It is not even kindness as the mind defines it.
It is the sacred knowing that all beings walk their own perfect path,
even through pain, even through shadow.

Compassion does not rescue.
It allows.

It sits beside the fire of another’s becoming
and whispers no solutions —
only silence, only breath, only light.

This is the gift we now live:
To witness without controlling.
To shine without blinding.
To love without needing.
To be present —
and nothing more.

That is compassion.
